Strategic Marine (S) Pte Ltd recently handed over Centus Ten to Malaysian offshore operator Centus Marine Sdn Bhd, marking the third fast crew boat handed over by Strategic Marine to Centus in the past 12 months and the 10th vessel overall.
Commenting on the vessel’s handover, Strategic Marine CEO Chan Eng Yew said, “Centus Marine’s ongoing relationship and support is a strong endorsement of our design, quality, expertise and close collaboration with each of our customers, delivering beyond their expectations. . We look forward to delivering more outstanding ships for Centus in the future. This is the first ship to be delivered by Strategic Marine in 2022 and there will be many more deliveries underway for the rest of this year.

Both Offshore Support Vessels have been developed and feature new capabilities to meet Centus Marine’s detailed and specific operational requirements, with the vessel’s design directly influenced and improved by Centus feedback, to deliver industry-leading performance. The latest vessel, in common with her sister vessel, boasts a range of bespoke features and additions such as dedicated bow cargo, enlarged wheelhouse and crew cabins, all with the aim of to offer the best safety and performance of the vessel.
Centus Ten completed her sea trials at the end of the first week of January. Both vessels offer an operational service speed of over 30 knots and a top speed of over 31 knots in Sea State 2 conditions, powered by three Cummins KTA50 engines.
The vessel’s design incorporates Strategic Marine’s Generation 3 hulls. The crew accommodation area includes 12 berths in seven cabins while the main deck saloon can comfortably accommodate up to 100 guests in reclining business class seats. The vessel also offers dedicated luggage racks, large built-in deck storage and wide gangways to facilitate crew transfer in demanding offshore conditions.
