The Call of the Running Tide Méduse ou Vague Furieuse; 1897
Lucien Lévy-Dhurmer; 1865-1955

Méduse is the French word for jellyfish, as well as Medusa. Strange to say, the name "L'Anse aux Meadows" originates from the name used by French migratory fishermen, who named a certain place "L'Anse aux Méduses", ie "Jellyfish Bay". This place sent out its call to Leif Eriksson, 1000 years ago. Hit his trail, here.
